“Street in the Woods”, Hanover, NH

In partnership with a metro-Boston developer, Turnstone developed an innovative age-targeted housing concept for a 500 acre site in Hanover, NH.  The plan envisions tightly clustered housing, organized as a traditional street, occupying less that 10% of the site. Open meadows and the existing barn will be leased to a local farmer, and the balance of the site will be accessible by hiking and cross country trails, and protected by a conservation easement. With an emphasis on full service living, this community-oriented project will provide on-site management and include a function space, business center, and art studio. Landscaping will use native species and will seamlessly integrate into the natural setting. The architecture will take its cues from the local vernacular and will incorporate a broad array of green design elements.
